On Android: share the video to Vimpse or paste the URL, then mark start and finish. Save part of a YouTube video.
Can I bookmark part of a YouTube video?
Yes, as a Vimpse: start, finish, title, Wall. That is not a download. What a video bookmark is.
Can I choose both start and end?
Yes. That is the point. A YouTube timestamp is only a start — comparison.
Can I organise video bookmarks into folders?
Vimpse uses Walls, not folders. A Wall is a named grid of saved moments. Free: one Wall. Pro: extra named Walls. Walls.
Can I save videos from my phone?
Yes. Videos on your phone.
Does Vimpse download YouTube videos?
No. Playback uses YouTube’s embedded player. No file dump, no audio extract, no background YouTube play.
Does Vimpse require an account?
No Vimpse account. Google Play is involved only if you buy Pro or restore a purchase.
Does Vimpse track me?
The app has no analytics SDK and no Vimpse ad network. YouTube and Google Play are third parties you invoke by using those features. Privacy Policy.
Where are my Vimpses stored?
On the device, in private app storage. Android backup is disabled for Vimpse.
What happens if I delete Vimpse?
The on-device library goes with the app unless you previously exported a Wall. There is no cloud copy at I Enterprise Ltd to restore from.
How do I share?
Share a Vimpse or a Wall. Google Drive sharing is not in the current app.
What does Pro include? How do I restore it?
Pricing. Restore is Google Play’s restore, in Settings.
How do I report a problem?
Email info@vimpse.com. Include the app version from Settings if you can. This is also the contact address.
What is the Android package name?
Google Play lists Vimpse as app.vimpse.com. That is the application ID. The name in the launcher is Vimpse.
