Family

Keep the speech. You do not need the twenty minutes around it.

“Save the part worth remembering” is not only a joke on YouTube.

You recorded twenty minutes. The moment you actually want to show someone lasts forty seconds. A phone fills up with long takes because nobody wants to miss the bit while they are living it. Watching those files later is a different job. Save that stretch as a video bookmark — start, finish, title — and leave the rest in the original.

Dad’s 60th, as a Wall

Same source video, five Vimpses, one Wall. Holiday works the same way: beach, sunset, dog swimming, restaurant, the quiet family bit at the end.

Privacy, in practice

These files stay on the device unless you share them. There is no Vimpse account. Android backup for the app is off. If you share a Wall and include local video, you are sending personal footage through whatever app you pick on the share sheet. That is your choice; Vimpse does not upload it to us.

Keep one event on its own Wall if the mix gets noisy. How copying works: videos on your phone.
